Joff Woodgett is the worthy winner of the inaugural Drennan Coors Trent Masters.
With glorious weather, plenty of bites, £2,000 in the pot and some fantastic prizes from Drennan it turned out to be a great final on the River Trent at Burton.
Joff lead the way from unfancied peg 1 at Ferry Bridge with 22lb 1oz of quality dace and roach. The Sensas media man elected to fish the waggler with bronze maggots between three and five rod lengths.
Runner-up was Sensas and Drennan Team England ace Sean Ashby. He had drawn nine pegs below the winner, close to the footbridge, and after a slow start on the pole a switch to the waggler brought another quality dace net, totalling 19lb 4oz.
Shakespeare Superteam’s Rob Quinn was third from a very weedy peg 8 at Sherratts with 15lb 12oz of roach.
