Winter Roach With The Ultralight Bomb & Feeder

Kev Hewitt caught this stunning brace of pristine winter roach on feeder tactics, the biggest tipping the scales to 1lb 14oz.

kev_roach_braceKev caught these along with a number of good sized roach during a recent session on Birch Carp Syndicate in Wales.

Kev’s setup consisted of a MatchPro Ultralight Bomb and Feeder rod and FD3000 reel. At the rig end, a Gripmesh Feeder fished free running to a Swivel Stop Bead and down to a 2lb Supplex hooklink and a size 18 Red Maggot hook.

Bait for the session consisted of Hinders Brown Blitz groundbait with single or double red maggot as hookbait.
