Reading specimen angler John Found embarked on a three day trip south to fish the Hampshire Avon recently in company with Phil Smith, and after Chub of 5lb 7oz, 6lb 10oz and 6lb 1oz one day on maggot feeder, was delighted to find near 17 degrees and a light south westerly wind the next.

Fishing a Kamasan Blackcap feeder with a very short hooklength and size 18 Super Specialist hook – John hooked this tremendous Barbel weighing 13lb 8oz and after a patient battle, managed to net it on his chub gear to complete a tremendously enjoyable trip!
