Boston & District bailiff Wayne Coulson has found short sessions providing him with the best result this year and the proof is in the pudding with this personal best 30lb 4oz specimen which took a liking to his float fish sardine.

He told us “After not having a twenty for several years, I have truly been spoilt this year. I have been mainly fishing short afternoon session around the 4 hour mark and on my latest session I received a very slow bite about an hour in. As soon as I struck I knew this fish was a bit special as the rod arched over and I could feel a real heavy weight pulling back. This is the biggest pike I have heard being caught for a few years around the area”.
