A specimen perch catch is a rarity at this time of year but Trevor Gunning has made it look easy with the capture of this 4lb 10oz monster.

Trevor targeted a gravel pit at Cotswold Water Park with light lure tactics to fool his new personal best for the species. Trevor worked his adjusted Slick Shad along a drop off to help produce the bite. He said: “The perch was 22cm deep, 50cm long, and I couldn’t believe the width of it – I was blown away by this fish!”
