Having spent the last three years targeting a ten-pound tench from a Hampshire estate lake, Tom Randall managed his target recently with this 10lb 12oz specimen..
Previously, he’d managed four fish over the 9lb mark, and on the very session in which he landed the double, he’d lost another big fish right at the bank, and thought his chances were over.
However, his small method feeders loaded with soaked pellet and groundbait, with a small pellet hookbait, proved too much for this tench to resist. Tom cast these over a bed of hemp and is unsurprisingly delighted with the fish.
Well done Tom!
