Martin Noble has been really enjoying his winter sport on the River Test and kindly sent in some fabulous photos from a recent session.

“I was able to fish a beautiful quiet stretch on the River Test where I had a cracking day fishing for grayling and chub,” he explained. “Trotting a float down the swim I managed to get some nice fish up to 4lb 8oz along with a few greedy trout.”

“It was a beautiful frosty day with a thick layer of mist and fog. It was like a scene from A Passion For Angling!”

“All the fish were caught on my trusty Red Range 13ft Float rod, trotting a Drennan Alloy Stick Float on 5lb Supplex line, presenting red maggots on a size 12 Wide Gape hook.”
