Dave Harpin was third overall and qualified for the Wychavon Championship at Evesham – largely thanks to this foul-hooked barbel!

He was fishing a 12g flat float when he hooked the impressive fish and somehow managed to get it into the net with 13 metres of his trusty old Drennan Zircon pole in the air!

The talented all-rounder also managed five eels and some small fish in the 80-peg match to weigh 9lb 6oz – just 10oz adrift of the winning weight!
