This grass carp was a welcome surprise for Jon Arthur during a competition at Solhampton Fishery. 

It was caught just four metres down the edge on a piece of worm and helped Jon to a 130lb 4oz total. That was enough for 3rd overall in the Mega Match This qualifier and a place in the Maver Pole Championships.

Jon caught the fish in 18 inches of water using a 0.2g AS4 float on 0.16mm Supplex to a 0.14mm hooklength and size 16 Wide Gape Pellet hook with pink Carp Bungee elastic.
