Specimen ace Simon Baker timed his session on the River Thames perfectly when he arrived at the river to find it fining down after a few days of rain and “looked perfect for a big chub”.

Arriving early, he fed a large bed of liquidised bread, micro pellets, and a handful of broken homemade boilies. Fishing a boilie hookbait, Simon received a sharp pull forward followed by a drop-back, and he was them into a hard fighting fish determined to make the inside snags. Weighing 7lb 10oz, it’s Simon’s fourth seven-pounder of the season.
Well done Simon!!
