Another superb match action photo from Rolf’s Lake in Oxfordshire – featuring an angler by the name of John Roberts, the rod hooped right over as a large carp tries its best to get under the bank at the anglers feet!  Brilliant photography by Drennan’s Paul Green – in contrast to the exciting bend in the rod we love the concentration etched on the anglers face – we all know that “I must not lose this one” feeling… 

John is using what looks like a Series 7 Puddlechucker Carp Feeder 10ft rod and 9-40 Feeder reel, a compact, balanced outfit perfect for use late in the match on that extra margin line – where bonus ‘lumps’ often seem to reside tight to the bank.  On a difficult day he finished with a weight of 43lb 4oz.
