Wayne Little and Martin Bowler with some majestic stillwater Roach taken on float-fished Pellets!

This superb photo is taken from Martin’s article in last week’s issue of Angling Times “Proper Roach Prefer Pellets” – explaining nowadays, many lake Roach have been brought up on a diet of Pellets.

In cold, windy conditions the lads used a size 14 Silverfish Bandit hook to nylon to present a pellet hookbait beneath a big 4g Glow Tip Carp Insert Waggler. Although it sounds a little crude, it worked a treat with fish to over 2lb!

Martin’s rod of choice for the strategy was the IM9 Classic 13ft float.
