A session on a tough northern syndicate water proved fruitful for Doncaster anger, Pete Webster, when he landed this 16lb 6oz bream.
Using a simple helicopter rig with a maggot hookbait, he spombed a mixture of pellet, corn, caster, dead maggot and hemp over the top. The bream is a venue record and is believed to be the first capture of the fish, with it clearly a recognisable specimen with a distinctive split tail.
A few tench to 7lb 8oz muscled in on the action, as well as four eels to just under 3lb. The bream is Pete’s new PB, beating his previous 15lb 15oz best.
Well done Pete!
