Bleak, Roach and Perch made up 99% of the weights on sunday with a surprise net of Chub for Tom Hobbs

The 5th round of the Oxford Summer league was fished by 7 teams of 6 on the Thames at Clanfield. The river had a good flow and colour but the blustery wind made presentation difficult and it was mainly a small fish match apart from the winner who found a shoal of hungry chub.
Individual
1st Tom Hobbs – Drennan Oxford Aqua – 30lb 2oz. Tom drew in the middle of the venue and fished pole at 14.5m with a 5grm flat float and worm on the hook over chop worm and caster feed. He had 7 chub to 5lb 10z to run out the easy winner.
2nd Steve Harwood – Drennan Oxford Aqua – 10lb 3oz. Steve drew in the section above the winner and had a good net of roach and perch on the pole and maggot over groundbait.
