Oxford and District open match fished by 40 anglers on the River Thames on Medley, Channel and Folly.
The river is still very low and clear with very little flow, but it still produced good weights in a tight match with some perch showing on Medley.
1st: Gary Pook (Daiwa Dorking) – 19lb 2oz. Gary drew on the little-used Channel section and caught roach and perch at 13m on the pole fishing maggot over groundbait.
2nd: Carl Eland (Drennan Oxford) – 18lb 12oz. Carl drew three from the bottom end of Medley and caught roach on the pole and caster. He also caught perch on pole and worm over chop worm.
3rd: Steve Townsend (Drennan Oxford) – 17lb 5oz. Steve drew at the bottom end of the perch bay and had two big perch on pole fished worm and then caught roach on the waggler with caster.
4th: John Beesley (Drennan Oxford) – 16lb 12oz
4th: Tom Hobbs (Drennan Oxford) – 16lb 12oz
