The prolific Oliver Jenkinson made a nuisance of himself with big Chub during his half term holiday from school, bagging a succession of specimen fish.
Ollie used a simple running leger rig using a short 4 inch hooklink on 8lb Supplex line through to a size 5 Specialist Barbel hook and Lobworm to great effect. In the space of two days at the start of the week he managed Chub of 5lb 11oz, 5lb 6oz, a 6lb 10oz cracker (pictured above)and a 5lb 7oz.
He then switched to legered meat with Barbel in mind, and whilst he was unsuccessful with that species on this occasion – further Chub of 4lb 12oz and a 6lb 2oz decided to take the bait instead!
Well done Oliver!
