“The stretch he was fishing isn’t known for massive zander”
With his usual River Severn out of sorts due to floods, Nick Duffy headed to the Warks Avon in search of zander and landed this 15lb 14oz specimen.
It’s his first double-figure zander, and it’s safe to say he well and truly smashed the landmark. Fishing a roach deadbait below a feeder filled with chopped fish, he had a run at 2:50am. The stretch he was fishing isn’t known for massive zander, and he admits he cranked the fish in, expecting it to be small.
It was only when he lifted it out the water, did he realise the magnitude of the fish.
Well done Nick!
