North-West match ace Nick Butterworth is well known for his frugal feeding (he’s renowned as being a bit tight, says Stu Conroy!), but he surpassed himself on Sunday, even by his own standards, by winning the Brookside Open match in Cheshire without feeding anything at all!

Nick was drawn on Snake Lake 2, and extracted F1s and Mirror Carp for a fantastic 95lb total.   Fishing with a long line, green Hollowcore elastic, a .05g float and a size 18 Drennan Silverfish Match hook, most of his fish came off the surface on a double caster hookbait.
