The former Drennan Cup Champion from London float fished sweetcorn in the margins using a size 14 Drennan Wide Gape 4lb Hooks To Nylon, a Loaded Crystal Waggler, 4lb Super Specialist main line and a Drennan IM8 Specimen Float rod.
“It was tough fishing but I managed a few 2s and then the unforgettable 3lb 15oz 8drm fish!” he explained. “It came on a dark afternoon, float fishing in waves with white caps. The fight was unbelievable. I was convinced I had a carp or a pike!”
