Whilst fishing on the Dorset Frome in incredibly windy conditions, a tactical change produced this grayling of 3lb 1oz for Neale Woodward.
He had planned to trot a float with maggots, but after being battered by wind so strong it tore branches from the trees around him, Neale reached for the feeder rod. Still using maggots, he tempted four other fish alongside the ‘three’, topped by one of 2lb 6oz.
Thanks to the conditons, Neale describes the session as ‘epic’ in more ways than one!
Well done Neale!
