With the prospect of a bitterly cold day facing the competitors in the latest round of the Drennan Silverfish League, the match was pegged with comfort in mind so that most of the anglers were sheltered from the wind.
Luke Harrison drew peg 43, which was one of the more exposed areas, but despite the chilly conditions, he found plenty of fish feeding. Worm and caster fished at 13 to 14 metres provided constant bites from a mixture of fish, including roach, perch, skimmers, crucians and F1s. Luke finished with 47lb 9oz which left him 15lb ahead of second-placed Kyle Hartley who employed similar tactics on peg 31.
