Despite finding his club water very busy, Sussex-based Matthew Wright got amongst the crucians and enjoyed a red-letter day, landing several specimens topped off by this 4lb 2oz beauty.
Settling in a swim he’d never fished before, Matthew set his stall out for a two-night session and introduced a few spombs of particle and fished a small method feeder over the top, with a fake caster hookbait. “I had an amazing session, where conditions were fantastic, and landed seven fish between 3lb 1oz and 4lb 2oz.” he added.
