For his 40th birthday, Brighton angler Matt Easton made the long drive to Scotland to target grayling. With the popularity of Scottish Grayling growing, it’s no surprise they’re getting bigger and bigger.
He travelled with a few friends and was rewarded with two new PBs for the species – first a 3lb 1oz fish, which was then followed by this specimen of 3lb 3oz.
Trotted maggots were the winning approach, with Matt presenting two grubs beneath a 6g Avon float.

Well done Matt!
