Martin Bowler has sent us this wonderful and quite unusual photo of a big Mirror and a brace of specimen Roach, which appeared in his “Hedging My Bets On the Method” article in Angling Times last week.

Martin had actually set out to target Bream – but certainly wasn’t complaining when a string of carp to 27lb and Roach to almost 2lb took his 10mm boilie / fake corn combo hookbait! Martin used the Drennan Distance Specialist Tench & Bream 12ft 2lb rod to cast a 45g Flat Method Feeder, with one of the ESP Mega Method rig hooklengths.

On the feeder Martin used a mix made up of Method Base Mix, Boilie Base Mix and Green Lipped Mussell Powder – mixed with lake water.
