During a session on the Hampshire Avon, Mark Woodage managed this 7lb 13oz chub thanks to a clever baiting trick.
He’d landed a fish of 5lb 13oz after a swim move and decided to rest the swim. As he watched the group of chub graze over his free boilie offerings, he noticed a much bigger fish enter the swim. However, he now wanted to separate it from its shoal mates, and did so by baiting a second area, splitting the fish. Thankfully, it worked like a dream, and the big fish was straight on his new area of feed. Afterwards, it didn’t lake Mark long to hook and land the fish, with a legered boilie doing the trick.
Well done Mark!
