Targeting the middle Trent, Kyle went with local expert Robert Bown, who is good friends with Kyle’s dad. Robert explained “I offered to take Kyle fishing to get him out the house so we spent a few days baiting a local spot, just a mile from home. Arriving at 9.30am, it wasn’t long before we were into fish, the first being a huge chub. It’s a new PB for Kyle, and we spent the next few hours chatting about his extraordinary catch. The pair decided to pack up at 6pm, but just before they called time, the rod roared off again.

“This fish went on big powerful runs, but Kyle played the fish brilliantly, I netted this huge barbel that weighed 17lb 14oz – another PB for Kyle! I added a smaller barbel before we packed up and walked home, wet and muddy but over the moon. What a day session!” Robert added.
