This perfectly formed Common Carp helped 10 year old Jason Conroy to runner-up spot in his first ever junior match!

The competition, fished over two and a half hours, was well attended by around twenty youngsters on a lovely midweek evening. The fish was landed on Drennan green Bungee elastic, a 0.117mm Double Strength hook-length and a size 18 Silverfish Match hook baited with double red maggot.

Jason was fishing a local pool where he added Roach, Perch, Skimmers and a few hybrids to amass a 13lb total, only a pound behind the winner. If he draws as well as his dad Stu, a win is imminent!
