This seven pound Ghost carp was the highlight of a terrific catch by Jason Conroy during a two hour pleasure session at Blundells Farm Fishery near Warrington recently.  Jason’s dad is Drennan Team England International Stu Conroy, so he has a pretty good tutor!

When many anglers were packing their gear away due to horrendous wind and rain, Jason battled the elements to put together a 40lb mixed bag including Tench and Bream. Nine year old Jason used his Margin carp pole at five metres with yellow bungee hollowcore elastic.  His meat hookbait was presented on a size 16 Wide Gape Pellet hook tied to a 0.148mm Double Strength hooklength, fished under a 4×14 float in four feet of water – a successful set-up for a memorable evening!

Well done Jason.  Maybe one day we’ll see you fishing for England like your Dad!
