Thank you to Stoke-On-Trent angler James Brookes for this photo of a 13lb specimen River Dove Barbel caught on a Super Specialist Sink Braid hooklink.

James used a size 8 hook baited with two homemade boilie chops over four freebies and a dropper full of pellet presented tight under some marginal trees. This was fished with a 1oz Lead on a two-foot hook-length.

“Very happy with this capture just before the season end – this is the first of hopefully many River Dove Barbel!” said James.
