Buckingham angler James Aris has had a good winter with Chub on the upper reaches of the River Great Ouse, capped by this new personal best!



James has caught a number of 5lbers in recent weeks – including the two fish below which weighed 5lb 6oz, before last week surpassing them in some style with the above beauty of 6lb 4oz!

Quivertipping Cheesepaste on a size 4 Carbon Specimen hook, with a Series 7 Specialist Avon Quiver 12ft 1.25lb rod fitted with a ¾ oz Slow Taper Glass tip has been the successful strategy.
