Norfolk’s Justin Grapes caught his new personal best pike from Chew valley lake, which weighed in at a colossal 31lb 7oz!
This fish was caught on a joey
mackerel which was boated out 100 yards in 8ft of water. It was part of a 8 fish haul, which included a 19lb 2oz as well.
Justin’s trace was made up of E-Sox Super Trace Pike Wire in 34lb with size 6 trebles.
E-Sox Super Trace Pike Wire
consists of our stainless steel Super 7 wire with a translucent brown nylon coating. The core is woven from seven strands of ultra fine, stainless steel
filaments. It is then coated with a tough nylon polymer to increase durability and kink resistance.
This capture was awarded a weekly Drennan Cup in Angling Times on the 4th of November.
