A small Nottinghamshire gravel pit produced this huge 31lb 13oz pike.

Local angler Dave Newman was float fishing a roach over 15ft of water when the new personal best fell into his trap.

It was one of five fish that he landed during the session and it tops a great season so far as he’s also banked a ‘PB’ zander and his biggest-ever river pike topping the scales at 23lb 9oz.
