Steve Hemingray has won the recent Riverfest practice match on the River Wye with four barbel for 26lb.

With the river up and heavily coloured, all the fish were caught on the feeder with hair-rigged pellet.

Substantial tackle was needed on this powerful river, so the Drennan Team England ace tackled up with 10lb Specimen Plus main line to a 0.23mm Double Strength hooklength and a size 12 Super Specialist eyed hook.

Steve will now be hoping for more of the same in this weekend’s prestigious Riverfest Final, where the winner will walk away with a cool £10,000.
