Gary Newman has sent us some great photos from a recent Angling Adventures column in Anglers Mail – featuring a trip to Rolf’s Lake in search of Stillwater Chub, using a Drennan IM9 Classic 13ft Float rod.

Gary used a 2BB Insert Crystal Waggler on 3lb Supplex line to fish tight to an undercut bank, using a size 18 Barbless Carp Maggot hook to nylon baited with maggot. By feeding maggot little and often Gary managed to outwit a few of the resident Chub, which can be notoriously fickle in Stillwater – including this 4lb 5oz fish.
