Drennan Team England will be defending their unbeaten record in the Fish ‘O’ Mania International Challenge this Sunday.
The star-studded pairs event will be televised live on Sky Sports on Sunday 19th July, the day after the prestigious Fish ‘O’ Mania XXII Final. The winning international team will walk off with a cool £10,000 1st prize, with £5,000 for the runner up.
This year’s duo representing Drennan Team England is Des Shipp and William Raison. As expected, they are red-hot favourites with the bookmakers – but they won’t have an easy ride with Belgium, France, Holland, Ireland, Italy, Scotland and Wales trying to end their winning streak.
The venue, Arena Pool at Cudmore Fisheries, has also undergone a lot of changes since last year. After an extensive restocking programme it might not be big carp and barbel that dominate as thousands of smaller F1s and silverfish have now been introduced. We are expecting more of a fish race this time with anglers who can work out how to catch the fastest coming out on top.
Whether you are travelling there to cheer the anglers on or watching it streamed live on TV it promises to be a great event!
