Jamie Cartwright’s son Charlie has been out on the banks of the Grand Union Canal just outside Northampton in search of his first zander.

It didn’t take long before eight-year-old Charlie was into his first ever zander. Using one of our E-Sox Piker 10ft lure rods, which are perfect for close-range dead-baiting on the canal he presented a small roach head on a simple running rig with a single size 8 treble mounted on 15lb Soft Strand Pike Wire.
