England went into the match as favourites on Ireland’s Inniscarra Reservoir in Coachford, Cork, and didn’t disappoint. The team of Steve Ringer, Phil Ringer, Mick Vials, Adam Wakelin and our very own Drennan-backed Dean Barlow put on an excellent display to take gold with a runaway 26-point score, with host-nation Ireland on 62 and the Netherlands on 77. Steve Ringer was also crowned World Champion after posting a perfect two-point score, with Mick Vials taking bronze.
