Drennan Oxford A have qualified for the Evesham Team Championship Final. 

Fourteen teams of five fished on a difficult Warwickshire Avon that was badly affected by bright sunshine and heavy angling pressure. The Drennan Oxford A squad consisted of Steve Harwood, Dean Barlow, Jon Arthur and Chris Vandervleit, plus Dan Varney guesting from Kamasan Starlets. Their 47-point total was just enough to edge out Drennan Oxford B on 48 points to take the third and final qualifying place behind Baileys of Warwick on 57 and Maver Image Red on 49.

The team had double cause to celebrate as Steve Harwood also won the match individually with a hard-earned mixed net weighing 6lb 10oz from peg 31. They now progress to the  Evesham Angling Festival on August Bank Holiday Monday.
