Drennan Bordon’s Winning Weekend

It was a good weekend for the Drennan Bordon team, staring off at Willow Park Fishery where team captain and former Welsh international Dave Lewis won the Saturday open with 59 lb.

Dave draw peg 1 on the small lake, fished 14mt pole and maggot into the corner for 9 carp plus 5 F1’s for the win!

Sundays Rushmoor Winter League at Gold Valley saw Shaun Barnett taking fourth individually overall with 36lb made up of four carp, two on big wag plus two on method. Along with Graeme Aggar & Simon Kiefer who won their sections which helped the Drennan Bordon Team to first place on the day, well done lads good team effort !

Russ Grimes capped off a good weekend on Sunday for the Drennan Bordon camp at Lake John on the individual/pairs winter league. Russ caught 42lbs of silvers to win the round. Catching on two lines one short at 6mt with maggots and the other long 14mt with groundbait and dead maggots. Best rig was a .1 AS1 float to a .085 supplex hook length.

Russ and pairs partner Paul Solen of Abbey Baits are now winning a very tight league and Russ is currently lying 1st in the individual stakes with two rounds left. Keep it going lads!
