After a chance encounter with a 15lb 3oz bream whilst carp angling a few weeks back, all-rounder David Jones returned to the venue and managed to bag himself this immense 17lb 6oz bream!.

After initially arriving at the lake to target carp, David noticed lots of bream rolling just as darkness descended, amongst which was a very big fish.“I swapped a few of my rods over for bream after seeing such a big fish roll and I’m certainly pleased about the switch,” David revealed. “There were so many fish rolling through the night I was amazed that I didn’t catch one then but come daybreak I had a bite. When I saw this fish I was totally gobsmacked. They’re such impressive fish, and it baffles me when people don’t like them.” David baited an area with halibut pellet and corn and used artificial corn as his hookbait.
