West Midlands based Dave Turner landed this impressive 15lb 8oz zander on his recent trip to the River Severn.
Dave caught his personal best zander on a small bleak dead bait. “We anchored the boat up and cast the dead baits out and waited. After around 30 minutes the tip of my rod started to twitch, so i lifted into it, a small zander weighing 4lb 9oz was the culprit.
“So we moved down stream around about 50 metres and anchored up again in around 18ft of water and recast my deadbait. It wasn’t long before I received another bite, but this time it felt much bigger!”
