Trotting for grayling is probably the most commonly used tactics, but at times, fishing the feeder can pass off in style as Dave Oddy found out with this 3lb 4oz specimen.
He was fishing a Scottish river, and in typical conditions, the wind was causing his problems with presentation. With that in mind, he switched over to a feeder packed with hemp & casters, with three maggots on the hook. After wading into the flow, he cast directly downstream and landed this 3lb 4oz grayling. He added three others on the same method before landing a fish of 3lb 2oz the next day, also on the feeder.
Well done Dave!
