We recently got sent this brilliant ‘spoof’ Angling Times cover featuring popular match angler turned specimen hunter Dave Harpin, who recently got married to Louise.

We are told Dave ‘used to be a very good match angler’ and fished for Daiwa Dorking, having previously fished for many years for Sensas A4. He is the angler on the Drennan website with a video teaching about the In-Line Method Feeder. In the past couple of seasons, with time limited, he has been chasing specimen fish instead around the Banbury area where he now lives, and has caught some superb specimen Barbel on the Loddon!

Local graphic designer, match angler and genuinely nice bloke, Trevor Baker of BDI creative, produced this ‘cartoon’ front page newspaper as a gift at the wedding and presented it to Dave & Louise complete in frame. Great present! Dave was quite touched that someone would make such an effort.

At the end of the wedding reception Dave said he was off on honeymoon somewhere warm – and was looking forward to trying to catch some Mullet!
