Another superb photo from Dan Sales, this one a 5lb 9oz Chub from the River Ivel with deep snow on the ground early last week!
Dan has enjoyed an incredibly prolific 12 month period where Chub and Perch in particular are concerned, and caught from various venues including different rivers and even the local canal. This latest big Chub was fooled with a small fluoro green curly-tail jig, worked into various spots with a light lure rod and 6lb Drennan Supplex mainline.
Unsurprisingly the strategy also worked with the Perch too, this 3lb 12oz stunner falling to the same tactics.
