Having found his target chalk stream running a few feet higher than usual and pushing through heavily, Daniel Bouskila decided to target areas of slack water on a grayling session and was rewarded with this specimen of 3lb 2oz.

Using nymphing kit with an imitation worm which he bumped across the bottom, Daniel had managed a few small trout before hooking something that burrowed its way into the faster water. Guessing it was likely a big trout, Daniel edged out in his waders, with the river up to his waist. After a hectic fight, a beautiful dark grayling surfaced and turned before he gladly slipped it into the net.
Well done Daniel!
