Steve Frappwell is now officially the joint holder of the crucian carp record after sliding the net under a 4lb 10oz specimen – caught on a Drennan Method Boilie!
The fish, caught from a Stillwater in Surrey, has now been officially recognised as a record with the British Record Fish Committee.
“She is undoubtedly a stunning fish and I feel so privileged to have banked her,” Steve commented. “She was caught on an 8mm Scopex Syrup Method Boilie and a Drennan 25g Flatbed Method Feeder. I popped into my local tackle shop that morning and saw the new Boilies and thought I would give them a go as they looked just perfect for the job.
“I caught a fish on the very first cast with one on; a tench. I also had a 2lb 9oz and a 2lb 14oz crucian on them before the big one. I recommend them for sure!”
