Knowing that the bream numbers were dwindling on his local Leicestershire gravel pit, Craig Woolhouse set about targeting them, knowing that those remaining would reach impressive weights.

His theory was proven true when he slipped the net under this fish of 16lb 10oz on a 24-hour session. It fell to a worm kebab rig fished on a helicopter set-up over a small patch of crushed pellets and chopped worm, 50 yards out. The bite came just after 5am, with Craig also adding one of 12lb and a surprise four-pounder.
Well done Craig!
