2 years after landing an 11lb 8oz tench at a Tenchfishers event at Norfolk’s Bawburgh Fisheries, Cliff Taylor returned for this year’s event, and landed this beautiful 11lb 4oz fish.
Fishing a worm kebab rig at around 40 yards over an area baited with worm soil, chopped worm, caster and hemp, Cliff connected with the powerful fish that ran him through thick weed. However, with some gentle coaxing it slid over the net after a 10-minute scrap.
“I’m delighted to have landed another eleven-pounder form the venue,” he told us. “Incredibly, the last fish I had from Bawburgh was the 11lb 8oz fish, and two years later my first fish of the session was 11lb 4oz. What are the chances of that?”
