Dean Derbyshire decided to start his 2017 grayling campaign early and struck gold with this 3lb 1oz specimen. Dean fooled the specimen by trotting two red maggots beneath a Drennan Loafer float during a session on a southern river.
The famous Royalty Fishery on the Hampshire Avon delivered the goods to Kenneth Thompson when he banked this superb 7lb 14oz chub. Kenneth feeder fished maggots on a size 16 hook and backed the giant chub up with another impressive chub that topped the scales at 6lb 12oz.
