After a run of good perch from a big midlands stillwater last winter, Carl Hill was keen to return this year, and soon continued his fine form as he managed this 4lb 12oz fish on his first attempt.
Having landed fish to 4lb 7oz last winter, the Leicester angler was hopeful that the water’s residents had grown on a little and was proven right with two others, weighing 4lb 2oz and 3lb 10oz.
All his fish fell to dropshot tactics, and Carl says it was a ‘privilege’ to catch them. Knowing that they’ve sat in the depths watching and ignoring many lures, for him makes landing the fish all the more rewarding.
Well done Carl!
